Alton Towers Resort's Thirteen news ep 13 part 3

The finale to our fantabulous youtube series. We wanted to end the series in a great way so we did it in a 3 part special. I have embedded part 3 below for your enjoyment.

Thirteen downtime

Thirteen had been working very well over the past week. Unfortunately on Friday it's great reliability took a U-turn,The ride suffered a one and a half day breakdown but fortunately the ride has been fixed and is working better than ever.

Thirteen open day

Thirteen opened to the public on Saturday. The ride has seemed to have really pleased riders and some riders are even stating that it is the best ride at Alton Towers. Thirteen: the Weapon REVEALED

The months of specultating are over. It is time to reveal the Weapon. Alton Towers are launching the World's first Freefalling roller coaster. Yes they completely gave the game away during construction.

Third blipvert/full advert update

The third blip has now been aired. The blipvert will be shown on TV tonight. Thirteen's full advert is rumoured to be aired on Wednesday which will reveal secret section.

New Thirteen testing video

A new testing video has been posted to Youtube. The ride travels over the air time hill at quite a speed, we could be in for a intense ride in March. Thank you TTF member awtsw90 for allowing us to post his video on the Blog

Thirteen testing footage and pictures

A video has been posted to Youtube showing Thirteen testing. The video clearly shows that Thirteen has five cars on the train. A great photo update has also been posted here.

Alton Towers official Thirteen minisite UPDATED

Alton Towers have updated their minisite. The minisite now have different pages including a media section which has Thirteen video updates and desktop wallpapers.

Big Brother winner Alex Reid looking for first riders - new train pictures

Alton Towers and Celebrity Big Brother Winner Alex Reid are offering you the chance to ride firs, but, to prove yourself, you'll need to pass a series of Gruelling tests, here's the article from their Thirteen minisite

Determined thrill seekers are invited to test their metal with an application process that makes Big Brother seem like your little sister!

To kick-start the ultimate search, the Alton Towers Resort has put together a team of experts including Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid who will put wannabe riders through their paces in a series of gruelling tests including:

■Psychometric testing
■Interrogation interview
■Rollercoaster endurance
■Midnight 'bootcamp'
Applications are invited from midnight on Wednesday 3 February 2010... so watch this space!

TH13TEEN is the ultimate rollercoaster and every theme park ride you’ve ever dreamed of in one. The ride will join a long line of world-first attractions at the Alton Towers Resort including Nemesis, Oblivion and Air. Based on the discovery of an old burial ground, visitors will be invited to take a ride into the Dark Forest, where they will have to try and escape the all-consuming power of the creeping forest.


Applicatants need to be 18+ and need ro sign a confirmaton showing that they're in the right physical state to to take part.

Alton Towers have also released a new picture of Thirteen's train, which looks abesolutely superb.

Alton Towers Thirteen train REVEALED

Alton Towers have now released a picture of Thirteen's train and looks very much like a mine cart. The train looks very themed, though the restraints are lap bars.
